Police agents have captured a 30-year-elderly person recognized as Ebube Oba, for killing a mother of two and her co-tenant during a fight at their home in anambra state
A police statement uncovers that a quarrel had broken out among Oba and the deceased, whose name was whose name is Uzoamaka Ekpe, which later brought about a fight.
A statement delivered by the State Police Command’s representative, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga said:
“The anambra Police operatives have arrested a 30-year-old man identified as Ebube Oba for killing a mother of two and her co-tenant during a fight at their residence.
A police statement reveals that a quarrel had broken out between Oba and the deceased, whose name was given as Uzoamaka Ekpe, which later resulted in a fight.
“Police Operatives at about 4:33pm on 25/6/2022 arrested one Ebube Oba ‘M’ aged 30years over alleged murder of a mother of two (2), Mrs Uzoamaka Ekpe aged 45years living at Ugochukwu lane Nkpor Agu, Ogidi.
“Preliminary information revealed that late Mrs Uzoamaka had a quarrel with the suspect which resulted to fisticuffs.
“Ebube hit the victim on the chest and face with a fist blow, before she collapsed. She was rushed to the hospital and was later confirmed dead by a medical doctor on duty.
“The body has been kept to the mortuary and the suspect is in guardianship. The case will be charged to court after examinations.”
