Obaseki grieves passing of previous Dangote Cement MD, Engr. Makoju

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has grieved the death of previous Managing Director of Dangote Cement, Engineer Joseph Makoju, a quintessential expert and industrialist, who showed unsparing obligation to Nigeria’s industrialization drive.

In a proclamation, the governor portrayed Engr. Makoju as a “modest, unassuming and intelligent fellow, who had made permanent commitments to the improvement of Nigeria’s power sector and the cement industry.”

He noticed: “A caring dad and ardent family man, he was empathetic and agreeable, continuously attempting to incite advancement in his immediate community.

“With momentous energy and assurance, he oversaw different advances and formative activities, midwifing changes and strategies that today, have set Nigeria on the way of progress.

“As an Adviser to two Nigerian Presidents, he focused on the interest of the nation and worked tenaciously to guarantee a smooth progress to a new era of private-sector cooperation in the power sector.

“At the point when he moved over to Dangote Cement, he was a puzzler, driving milestone changes to expand efficiency and development.”

The governor said Engr. Makoju will be associated with his perseverance and hard work, as well as his unflinching assurance to convey results despite everything.

“I sympathize with the Makoju family, companions and partners and supplicate that God will concede all the courage to bear the hopeless misfortune,” he added.
